Renee Birch, MS LCMHC

Renee started her counseling career as a substance abuse counselor in an adolescent inpatient treatment program. During that time, she learned from her patients that school was the biggest source of stress. Today the academic and social stress is at an all time high. In her 20 year career as a middle and high school counselor, she worked closely with students who struggled academically, socially, and emotionally due to neurodiversity, learning disabilities, and mental health issues which spurred a passion in her to learn more so she could serve her clients better. She created Rooted In Faith Counseling to provide a wider range of therapy services to individuals of all ages. She partners with her clients to identify and eliminate emotional, mental and physical barriers that impact reaching their goals. Building resiliency and practical coping skills is a key the mental wellness and she incorporates psycho-education into therapy. She provides full services in NC and virtual sessions in South Carolina and Virginia.

Renee has completed several trainings to become certified in the area of neurodiversity. Her current certifications include:

• Certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist

•  Certified ADHD Clinical Specialist

• ADHD-PT

She is trained in Trauma Resiliency Model (Level 2)

Renee is embarking on the following trainings:

• Women’s Health Specialist Certificate

• SPACE (Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions) Training
